Copper Basin 300 1st checkpoint

Yesterday at 12:00 (22:00 CET) start the CB 300 in Chistochina ,Alaska. After the 1^st stage from Chistochina (Red Eagle Lodge) to Paxson(58 miles) we find the last year winner Jake Berkowitz on the first place . Second place for another champion Allen Moore . He wins the CB 300 in the 2008 and 2007 ,2005. Aliy Zirkle , Allens wife,  finished in 3^rd place. Fourth place for Dan Kaduce. The veteran (record man) John Schandlemeier finished in 8^th place. Trent Herbst ninth . Trentis a Rookie and he is a 3rd grade teacher & Iditarod racer.

The rookie from Norway Joar Leifseth Ulsom finished in 25^th place.
